Paper or plastic?
We’re not wanting to be insensitive to what so many of you are feeling, but we are very much wanting you to put this death thing in the proper perspective: You are all going to die! Except there is no death. You’re all going to make your transition into Non-Physical. It is time to stop making your transition into Non-Physical sound like a subject that is uncomfortable and begin acknowledging that it is something that happens to everyone. This death thing is so misunderstood that you use it to torture yourself never-endingly and just absolutely unnecessarily. There are those who feel such fulfillment of life and such Connection to Source Energy, who understand that there is no separation between what is physical and Non-Physical; who understand that there is not even a lapse in consciousness, that “death” is a matter of closing one’s eyes in this dimension and literally opening one’s eyes in the other dimension. And that, truly, is how all death is, no matter how it looks, up to that point.. The re-emergence into Source Energy is always a delightful thing.

One thing I find myself saying, every time I have a conversation about Abraham with someone who is uninitiated, is that I fully acknowledge there is no way for any of us to know if what Esther does is legitimate… Until we die. THEN we will all know for sure.
The next thing I say is that if she is faking it, she is a complete genius. Personally, I am as convinced as I think I can get while walking around in this physical plane that what she is doing is for real.
This brings me to my point. Some people believe in Heaven and Hell. God and Satan. Perpetual glory at the foot of the Master. Or perpetual fire. Unto eternity. At death, we either follow the light upwards, or we are cast down into the inferno.
Others believe that when we die, it is all over. No Heaven or Hell. No darkness. Just nothing. We cease to exist in any form.
Some believe in reincarnation. A kind of perpetual recycling system, in which we keep coming back as more or less the same individual, until we learn all of the lessons we are somehow “supposed” to learn. Exactly what they think happens at the moment of death, I do not know.
Abraham’s perspective is (to me) a bit more fluid. And a bit more believable. Consider:
Energy cannot be destroyed; only changed.
Your consciousness is a form of energy. Turn off the electricity in the brain, and the body dies.
Your consciousness has been changing all of your life. The physical body you reside in today is not the same one you occupied 20 years ago. Not one cell that makes up your body today existed then, but the transition was seamless. You never had to go to the hospital for a consciousness transplant.
Doesn’t it make sense that our awareness, our consciousness, should simply continue when we die? We slip into another plane every night when we close our eyes to sleep. Why is it any harder to believe that the death process is any different? We just don’t come back from the other side. At least until we are recycled into shopping bags at Trader Joe’s…
We get to choose what we believe in. I choose to believe in the theory that makes the most sense. See you in the checkout line.

It’s the thought that counts.
What anyone else has or does not have has nothing to do with you. The only thing that affects your experience is the way you utilize the Non-Physical Energy with your thought. Your abundance or lack of it in your experience has nothing to do with what anybody else is doing or having. It has only to do with your perspective. It has only to do with your offering of thought. If you want your fortunes to shift, you have to begin telling a different story.

One thing I don’t think I’ve ever felt is that if someone else has something then I can’t have it, too. That’s not a perspective I was ever taught. What I WAS taught was that, in the moment, we don’t have it, can’t afford it. It was never appended with; but some day… I carried that into adulthood. How much that contributed to my focus on the present, I can’t say, but I haven’t often been one to look very far down the road. A little more on this later.
I HAVE often lived my life from a perspective of lack. In my case, since I didn’t feel that anyone else was to blame, it often led to feelings of frustration; I had no idea how to change the situation. Plus, if I couldn’t blame someone else, who does that leave?
“The only thing that affects your experience is the way you utilize the Non-Physical Energy with your thought.” This is another declaration that all we have to do to manifest that which we desire is to think about it. (I’m finding a LOT of these in Abraham’s information, lately.)
The storytelling part of Abraham’s teachings has been a difficult thing for me. I have not had a lot of practice daydreaming, at least as an adult. The story I have been telling seems always to have been based in the present reality: ”I’m broke.” ”My car won’t start.” ”I don’t like my job.” Etc…
Abraham teaches to start telling a different story… “I have plenty of money.” ”My car is new.” ”I love going to work.” But, for a practical, analytical, show-it-to-me-to-prove-it-to-me kind of guy, telling a different story – even if only to yourself – is not easy.
What I’m doing to change the situation is taking small steps. Making a conscious effort to daydream. I found a great deal on self-hypnosis recordings, and have been listening to them as much as possible. …Been trying for the last 10 minutes to come up with something else. Still struggling, I guess, but things are changing anyway! The work I’m doing in other areas, including writing these posts, is helping.
The writing of this post has happened in somewhat chaotic fashion. I actually started by addressing the final part of Abraham’s quote, then went back to the beginning. In the end, I don’t have any final words of wisdom to contribute. Apparently, this was just an exercise in self-assessment. On the other hand, maybe there will be something here that will trigger a bell – or an alarm! – for YOU. If you connect with something here, don’t ignore what your reaction tells you. If it makes you feel like you need to make some changes, do it. Life is short.

It isn’t something you have to struggle for or try for.
We would like you to release the word “achieve” or “earn” from your vocabulary and from your understanding, altogether; and we would like you to replace those words with the word “allow”. You’re wanting to allow your Well-being, not achieve it. It’s not something that you need to earn. All you have to do is decide what it is you would like to experience, and then allow it in order to achieve it. It isn’t something you have to struggle for or try for. You are all worthy beings. You are deserving of this Well-being.

I may be reading between the lines here, but maybe Abraham is SPEAKING between the lines (although, as you’ll see in a moment, this one seems to be pretty blatant). When I first read the quote above, as well as when I began writing this, I was under the impression that Abraham’s primary subject was resistance. I have changed my mind.
At first (or second, or third) reading, it seems like they are once again talking about resistance. The words they chose to use, “achieve” and “earn”, imply the need to work or struggle at something. ”Allowing” does not. Allowing simply means getting out of the way (stopping resistance) of something.
The REAL subject matter here, IMHO, is found in these lines: ”All you have to do is decide what it is you would like to experience, and then allow it in order to achieve it. It isn’t something you have to struggle for or try for.”
Decide and allow.
Desire and get out of the way.
More and more, I am seeing this message in Abraham’s teachings. Work/effort/struggle/sweat/activity is NOT a requirement of manifestation. It is what we humans EXPECT to be a requirement, and so it is what we seek out when we want something. Ever ask yourself, “Why is life so hard?” It’s because we EXPECT it to be hard! Stop it!
Now, launch a rocket of desire and get out of the way.
No, really! There’s a car coming… Move!

The writing of this blog is an exercise in absorption. I write as if I have someone to teach this to. In teaching the kind of audience that is likely to find me on the Internet – I am not searching you out; I do not know what your knowledge base is in this area – I feel the need to try not to assume anything. That makes me take more time in explanation of certain things, and THAT requires a concentrated effort to break some concepts down into easily-digestible parts. The end result is that it all sinks in more completely for ME. It’s a win-win. I hope you are benefiting as much from reading this as I am from writing it.
