Why aren’t you letting it in?

The human mind is incapable of staying quiet. It’s like an eight track tape; it just keeps going. It keeps on talking; keeps on playing variations on all of those life-long programs we’ve been collecting, reinforcing whatever “truths” we’ve come to believe. This is why it’s important to keep consuming the right kinds of input.

Maybe we’re SUPPOSED to get frustrated.

Abraham says the reason we feel negative emotion is because there is a gap between who we really are and where we are now. That has to mean that we subconsciously feel a disconnection. And if that’s the case, then it’s only natural for frustration to occur when things don’t happen at the snap of a finger. We have a REASON – maybe even a RIGHT – to expect it.

Let the experiments begin!

Just reading the introductory sections of this book gave me goosebumps – I’m connecting to it like I haven’t connected to a book in a long time – and it’s got me excited to see the results.

Fear – You asked for it

Did you know that Al Capone died of syphilis because he was afraid of needles?

Line up the Energy first

I used to play tennis fairly regularly with a friend of mine. He’s taller, has a longer reach, and (especially today) has more physical stamina than I have. But more importantly, he’s got the mental ability to focus on a goal without distraction. Combine that with his competitive drive, and he’s hard to beat. In fact, I never once did it! I believe that I actually have more talent on the tennis court, and that he’s not THAT much better an athlete than I, but I don’t have the sheer determination to win that he does. I didn’t take the time to see myself beating him before we played, and it never happened…

Could be tomorrow afternoon

If thinking about a thing sets the Universe to work delivering it, doesn’t it make sense that thinking about it can also delay, obstruct, or even prevent the Universe from delivering it, as well?

The pie is not finite

The key, as usual, is what we focus on. In the example above, rain is not the goal. It’s a means of achieving the desire for one person.

Psychological Judo

Haven’t you noticed that a new disease pops up, and humanity finds the cure, only to find another disease popping up? Don’t you think it’s interesting that you don’t get to the end of those diseases?

“Today’s your last day.”

So, things are shaking out, I guess.  January was full of…  stuff.  Seems like we always expect things to settle down right away after the holidays, but they never do.  There’s a little recuperation time from the party season, but then you have to get things ramped up at work again, and get reacquainted with […]

You can go from where you are to where you want to be

…My emotional reaction to their talent was interesting. First reaction: jealousy/envy/etc. “Little bastards shouldn’t be that good…” This was quickly followed by the realization that they were never going to have to work a day in their lives. More jealousy. Then the Law of Attraction perspective kicked in, and I had to admit that these kids were inspiring…

Attention to obstacles makes them bigger and more stubborn

…But in Western society, the typical mindset expects the opposite – get rich first; get healthy first; find that perfect mate first. Then those obstacles will go away…

Physical pain is just an extension of emotion

… in working with Law of Attraction, we have to be cognizant of the fact that we may not receive exactly what we want, or receive it in the way we want. But, that’s our fault, not the Universe’s. We simply don’t have the skills…
