Attention to obstacles makes them bigger and more stubborn

Attention to obstacles makes them bigger and more stubborn; attention to shortages makes them bigger and prolongs them—and attention to a problem prevents any immediate resolution or solution.

In the absence of longing, in the absence of doubt—in the absence of obstacles and shortages and problems—will be the solutions and abundance that you seek. And the evidence of your Vibrational shift will become obvious in two ways: first, you will feel better; and next, physical evidence of financial improvement will begin flowing to you from a variety of different directions.

— Abraham

The second paragraph above is in reference to what happens when you meditate – Abraham’s recommendation for how to address the issues raised in the first part of the quote.

What I find interesting is that the absence of longing, doubt, etc., is what comes first.  It’s the goal of meditation.  The solutions and abundance come second.  They are the result, not the precursor.  But in Western society, the typical mindset expects the opposite – get rich first;  get healthy first;  find that perfect mate first.  Then those obstacles will go away.  Then those shortages will cease to be.

How simple the answer is; slow down and manage your thoughts.  Look for ways to feel better.  Allow yourself to relax.  Allow yourself to release your concerns about life’s problems, just for a little while.  Turn your focus from the struggle to the dream.  Just for a little while.  Do it on a regular basis.  Do it without expectation.

Do it for the simple pleasure it provides, and give the Universe an opportunity to bring forth those things you desire.

Have a safe and happy holiday.  And let’s all dream a little.
